DINITROL 6090 is used, for example, for sheet metal repairs in car body construction and is particularly suitable for thicker layers and for repairing heavily rusted areas. The product adheres very well to sheet steel, cast iron and cast aluminium and can be sawn, drilled, sanded and milled when cured. Even after grinding, DINITROL 6090 retains its light, aluminium-like colour. For this reason, the material is also ideal for repair work (e.g. casting cavities in aluminium castings).

Pre-treatment
The surface to be treated must be clean, dry and free of grease and rust.
Application
Carefully mix the required quantity of levelling compound with 0.5 - 2% hardener paste and apply to the sanded substrate. Coat thicknesses of up to approx. 4 mm can be applied in one operation. Thicker layers should be applied in several coats, even for smaller areas, whereby the next coat may only be applied after the first has hardened. The filler can be sanded after 20 - 30 minutes.
